You can’t be in growth and protection at the same time

Trauma

noun | traa - muh

  1. a deeply distressing or disturbing experience
  2. physical or chemical injury
  3. the result of un-digested, un-integrated life experiences that are now creating physical and somatic distress throughout the body, leading you to Dr. Julia and her team!

What do trauma symptoms look like?

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • appetite changes (aversion to food or blood sugar control problems)
  • poor sleep
  • inability to concentrate (or behavior challenges in kids)
  • inability to lose weight or gain muscle
  • pain in several areas of the body, where it seems to be a new problem every day

How can Dr. Julia help you?

Here at Carlson Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Julia has one primary skill and mission:
helping your nervous system adapt better.

The nervous system is your body’s central line of communication. It is the lifeline that brings radiance into our human bodies. It is the conduit for the life force that processes and stores all life experiences for the longevity of your body’s existence.

Woah! That’s pretty neat, right?

That said, Dr. Julia does not “treat” trauma. The core philosophy of chiropractic asserts that YOU heal YOU, so her role is not to cure you, but rather to put your body in a better position to heal. In order to get you into this space, we test your nervous system to analyze how it is functioning pre-care. With this information, Dr. J then uses chiropractic care to repattern your nervous system and its responses to internal and external stressors. This repatterning empowers the nervous system to function and process more normally. As a result, your body can better adapt to stress and integrate the trauma that your life has accrued, no matter how long ago.

how does repatterning happen?

01.

identify interference

02.

understand impact

  • body endures one of The Three T’s
  • body becomes stuck in fight-flight or freeze
  • impaired adrenal gland function
03.

empower integration

  • nervous system re-scan
  • specific chiropractic care
  • mental health care and/or functional medicine, holistic healing approach
  • discover yourself again!

what does repatterning look like?

On the left is a patient before care, stuck in what we know as the fight-or-flight response. An initial scan such as this is typical of a person with high anxiety, low adrenal function, and an inability of the nervous system to discern between safety and being chased by a saber-toothed tiger.
